The factory-sealed white poly or brown paper bags contain approximately 20 lbs. of feed. It is recommended to feed the fish daily, preferably at the same times each day, when the water temperature is consistently at or above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. If there is no other food supplementation in the pond or aquarium, the fish will require more than one daily feeding. Caution should be taken not to overfeed, as this can cause oxygen depletion of the water. Always follow the feeding guidelines for the size of your pond or aquarium and the number of fish you are feeding. Discontinue feeding ornamental koi and goldfish when the water temperature falls below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Plant proteins and animal proteins are a natural part of an omnivorous fish's diet, providing several types of amino acids and natural oils that deliver essential fatty acids. The pellet size is approximately 3/16", with most of the pellets being floating, and about 20% of them sinking. Small clumps of unpellitized product may be present, which can be easily broken apart if necessary.
